I really don’t like bios. I find it quite difficult to describe myself. I struggled often with how to describe myself, and much of it was because I had a self-esteem and identity crisis. Some seasons of my life I’d be overly confident in my looks, achievements, and personality; while in others, I hated everything about myself…. That was until God healed me. He delivered me, and reestablished His truths in my heart. Since then I’ve been learning the difference between pride, vanity, and humility. I’ve also been able to understand false humility. So with that being said, this is the best way I can describe who I am to all of you:

My name is Emily, but I often go by Em. I love Jesus and I’m learning what it truly means to love Him rightly. I’m a single, never been married, mother of one. I have a handsome and amazing five-year-old son, whom I love dearly. I love to write, read, and socialize.

Much beyond that is a mystery, as I’m still getting to know myself through a different lens. I strive to do all things to the best of my abilities, and even still I fail. But I get up and try again.

Beyond that, I’m just like you. An individual learning how to navigate through the complexities of life. As I live, I experience; and as I experience I learn and am able to grow. This is me and I invite you in, come…. see…..follow (:
